Five more cheetahs have been introduced to Kuno National Park.

The number of cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park is increasing. Recently, a cheetah named "Jwala" and her four cubs, brought from Namibia, were introduced to the park. With these new additions, the total number of cheetahs being conserved in the park has reached 12. As part of the initiative to reintroduce cheetahs to India, the government has specially taken these animals under conservation.

Currently, 14 more cheetahs are under the care of officials, according to the wildlife department. Among these, 4 cheetahs are from Namibia, and 8 are from South Africa. Special measures are being taken for the safety and health care of these cheetahs. The officials are planning to gradually release them into the forest area. Continuous monitoring of the cheetahs' growth and development is being done, ensuring they receive the right food and environment.

The Indian government launched this project in 2022 with the goal of reintroducing cheetahs into the wild. So far, 14 cheetah cubs have been born in India. Efforts are underway to further increase the country's biodiversity by gradually integrating the cheetahs into the forests. Officials have stated that Kuno National Park provides an excellent environment for the cheetahs' development, and there is potential for the cheetah population to grow even further in the future.
